The government of Telangana has announced a positive change for school students in the state. To ensure students’ good health, the government will now provide ragi java during morning, mid-afternoon, and evening meals in government schools after the Dussehra holidays.
Preventing Anemia among Students
This initiative aims to prevent anemia among students. Approximately 22 lakh students in government schools will benefit from this program, promoting their overall well-being.
Inspired by Breakfast Scheme
This decision follows the recent launch of a breakfast scheme in all government schools by the Chief Minister. As part of this effort, students will be served ragi java before they leave school each day. Starting this academic year, the government has introduced ragi java with jaggery powder as a nutritional supplement for government school students, significantly enhancing their meals.
