Good news : ORR Mallampeta entry, exit start

1. Mallampeta Ramps Inaugurated:
On Thursday, October 13, the Mallampeta entry and exit ramps on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) were opened, becoming the second interchange for drivers since the complete 158 km ORR was inaugurated in 2016.

2. Quiet Launch at Narsinghi:
In July of this year, the Narsinghi entry and exit ramps were introduced without any grand celebrations. This understated launch was due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) constructed these new interchanges as part of retrofitting efforts to provide access to new large-scale developing areas based on demand.

3. Mallampet Interchange Details:
Named Mallampet Shambipur, this interchange is 300 meters long and nine meters wide, numbered 4 (A). It was strategically built between Sultanpur and Dundigal Interchanges at an estimated cost of 45 crores. Shaped like a diamond, it was designed to bring the ORR closer to the residents of various city areas, including Nizampet, Pragatinagar, Bachupally, Bolaram, Mallampet, Kazipally, Shambipur, and Bourampet. The state government decided to construct three additional exit-entry facilities in response to the rising traffic, adding to the existing 19 locations.

4. ORR Features:
The 158-km-long ORR is linked to the main carriageway (MCW) by an eight-lane access-controlled expressway on a 150-meter right of way (RoW). Additionally, it features two-lane service roads on both sides, enhancing the overall accessibility and traffic flow for commuters.
