Deadline Alert: September 14
The Center has set September 14 as the deadline for updating your Aadhaar details for free. If you need to change your name, date of birth, or address on your Aadhaar card, you can do so online at no cost. After this deadline, updating your Aadhaar card will require a payment of Rs. 50 at designated centers.
Simple Steps to Update
- Visit the official website: Open https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ in your browser.
- Log in and request OTP: After logging in, click to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Enter OTP and update documents: Once you have the OTP, click on “document update” to view your card details.
- Correct card details: If you spot any errors in your card details, make the necessary corrections and click “Next.”
- Upload proofs: You’ll need to upload identity and address proof documents.
- Check UIDAI website: Updated Proof of Address (POA) and Proof of Identity (POI) documents are available on the UIDAI website. You can find them there for reference.
