New Insurance Decision for Panchayat Workers in Telangana

Rs. 5 Lakh Insurance for Deceased Panchayat Workers
If a panchayat worker unfortunately passes away, their family will receive a sum of Rs. 5 lakh as insurance. This decision has been made to support the families during difficult times.
Insurance Premium Paid by State Government
To make this insurance possible, the state government will pay a premium to the ELIC. This will ensure that the families of panchayat workers are financially supported in case of any unfortunate events. This move will be beneficial for around 51,000 panchayat workers across the state.
Higher Amount for Funeral Expenses
Apart from the insurance, the government has also increased the amount given for the funeral of panchayat workers. Previously, Rs. 5,000 was given, but now it has been raised to Rs. 10,000. This decision aims to assist the families in carrying out respectful funerals for their loved ones.
