The YSR Housing Scheme was launched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to ensure its housing availability to citizens in both rural and urban areas of the State. Under this Scheme, the Chief Minister has declared reverse tendering of houses being built in rural and urban places.
YSR Housing Scheme Layout
This is the most extensive house site layout in the State under YSR Housing Scheme to 397 acres with 12301 plots. The ministry has also told the officials that this Gunkalam layout will become the Nagar Panchayat following the work for the construction of houses will be finished. In this layout, all the necessary amenities such as roads, drinking water, power, educational centers, hospitals, police stations, airports, libraries, RBKs, health clinics, banks, etc., will be present. He also said that beneath the YSR housing scheme, houses and towns for the future are being constructed.
In the Gunkalam area, the plot’s market worth will likely be Rs 3 lakh, and after the construction is completed, the market price increases to Rs 6 to 7 lakh. AP Govt will supply these homes to the beneficiaries free of charge. Underneath the YSR Housing scheme, around 30.75 lakh beneficiaries are identified throughout the country, and 28.30 lakh houses will be constructed in two phases under YSR Housing Scheme.
Around 2.62 lakh TIDCO flats are also assembled. Out of 28.30 lakh houses, 15.60 lakh houses will be constructed in the initial stage, for which 7 million crores will be spent, and staying 12.70 lakh houses will be built within the next year.
Under the first stage of the YSR Housing Scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has obtained 68.361 acres of property. This land is of the value of Rs 23,535 crores. AP Government constructed around 16 lakh homes and every house cost Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 28,800 crore has been spent on the Scheme. The construction of the second phase of the YSR housing scheme has begun from 25 December 2020, and in 3 years, AP Govt will build approximately 28.30 lakh houses under the next step of the YSR housing scheme. 30,75,755 houses will be distributed to women beneficiaries of the nation. And also, the construction of 15,60,000 houses will soon be initiated over 25 December 2020.
1.2 Comparison of YSR housing scheme With TIDCO plot
The previous government has left a debt of Rs 3200 crore. The present government of Andhra Pradesh has cleared a debt of Rs 1200 crore out of the 3200 crores, and the government is expecting to remove the rest of the debt shortly in 2 stages. Underneath the TIDCO scheme, 2,62,216 houses are under construction, from which 1,43,600 houses are of 300 square feet, 44,300 homes are of 365 square feet, and 74,300 houses are of 430 square feet. A sale agreement will be dispersed into 2.60 lakh TIDCO houses. By 23 December 2020, a week-long effort will be started by the Andhra Pradesh government. Under this effort, AP Govt will probably request TIDCO houses’ inheritance to choose from Chandrababu’s or Jagan’s housing strategy.
The volunteers under this effort will clarify both the schemes to the beneficiaries and will take their opinion. On 25 December 2020, the government will allocate 300 square feet of houses to all the beneficiaries by paying only Re 1 through the sale agreement.
1.2.1 Budget Sanctioned for this YSR Housing Scheme
The funding for the Financial year 2020-2021 was officially presented on 16 June 2020 by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Finance Minister B Rajendra Nath Reddy. Within this Budget, funds have been allocated for twenty-one welfare strategies in the name of late former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. 1.3 AP YSR EWS Housing Scheme 2021
Chief Minister Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy on 12 July 2019 has established YSR Housing Scheme 2021 together intending to provide a home to the poor people of the State unable to afford to construct their own house as per his promise made during the election campaign. This strategy is one of those leading nine promises made by Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The plot is named after his dad name YS Rajshekhara Reddy. This Scheme is referred to as the NTR housing strategy previously. The system was announced during the initial State Budget from Finance Minister Mr. B. Rajendranath Reddy. This home scheme is mainly for EWS/ MIG/ LIG class peoples of this State.
In this Scheme, the state government will regulate YSR Economic Weaker Sections Housing Scheme, PMAY- YSR (Urban) scheme, and PMAY- YSR (Gramin) scheme.
1.3.1 YSR EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Housing Scheme
The YSR EWS Home Plan is an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh State Government through which it’s said to provide pucca houses to the inheritance using a budget of 1280 crores. Under this strategy, work will be done to benefit the taxpayers falling under the following categories.
1.3.2 YSR Urban Housing Scheme (PMAY)
PMAY: YSR urban housing is a joint initiative of the State and central government to provide pucca houses to everyone. They belong to the inferior, middle-income section and lower-income groups. This Scheme’s primary intent is to build up the metropolitan region of the State before 2022. For the successful execution of the plot, the fundamental government of India has sanctioned Rs. 5000 crore and the State government allocated Rs. 1000/crore.

1.4.3 Process to Apply Online YSR Housing Scheme
The application process to apply for the Scheme is not yet disclosed by this State or Home Corporation’s government. Department will shortly be going to publish the application procedure. 1.6 YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme
The Chief Minister has announced the launch of the AP YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme. Kadapa district management of Andhra Pradesh is making all efforts to launch Jagan Anna colonies in Pulivendula town on 8 July 2020. The strategy is being told that the state government will allot documents with 1 to 1.5 percent land to the beneficiaries in urban and rural places.
