Meteorological officials in Hyderabad have issued a warning, stating that this heatwave is expected to persist for the next 10 days.

2. Unusual Daytime Temperatures in Telangana

Currently, Telangana is witnessing higher-than-normal daytime temperatures. Weather experts attribute this to hot winds blowing in from both the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range between 19 to 22 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the Southwest Monsoon is retreating from Telangana, with predictions of scattered showers until October 15.

3. Rainfall Forecast and Cloud Cover

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a dry day for Telugu states, except for a small sinkhole in South Rayalaseema, where there might be some clouds. According to the Satellite Precipitation Forecast, Rayalaseema could experience showers after 4 PM today (Tuesday). There’s a possibility of moderate rain in Dakshina Rayala area after 6 PM, with the weather expected to remain the same until 11 PM.

Satellite images indicate a lack of significant cloud cover over the Telugu states presently. Cyclone Koinu, which was active in East Asia, has considerably weakened, eliminating the chance of clouds originating from that region.

5. Wind Speed Variations

Currently, winds are blowing at speeds of 14 km/h in the Arabian Sea and 11 to 20 km/h in the Bay of Bengal. However, in AP and Telangana, winds are sluggish at 2 to 4 km/h, leading to stagnant air and discomfort.
