In a recent development, the Interboard has made a crucial decision concerning examination reforms. Specifically, the board has decided to cancel the internal exam for first-year students. This decision comes as part of their efforts to enhance the examination process.
End of Ethics and Human Values Exam
One significant change is the abolition of the Ethics and Human Values exam. Interboard Secretary Naveen Mittal issued an order stating that this exam will no longer be held in this academic year. The reason behind this move is the integration of Ethics and Human Values curriculum into Language subjects.
Inter Board Decision on English Practicals
Additionally, the board has decided to maintain the internal environmental education exam. This 100-mark exam will be conducted within the college premises and evaluated by college lecturers. However, these marks will not be added to the regular academic scores.
New Approach to English Studies
With the implementation of practical exams in the current academic year, the board has created separate textbooks for theory and practicals. Notably, ethics and human values are now integrated into the English subject books.
This integration led the authorities to conclude that a separate exam for these topics was unnecessary, leading to the decision to abolish the Ethics and Human Values exam for first-year students.
