The Telangana state government is set to release a major job notification to fill nearly 11,000 vacancies in Anganwadi centers across the state. This was announced by Sitakka, the Minister of Panchayatiraj, Rural Development, and Women and Child Welfare. Introduction of Play Schools in Anganwadi Centers
In addition to the recruitment news, the Minister also revealed plans to open nursery (play) schools in 15,000 Anganwadi centers. Currently, Telangana has 35,700 Anganwadi centers. Anganwadi workers have already undergone training in English teaching and other essential topics to prepare for this initiative. Previously, the plan was to integrate play schools within elementary schools, but now they will be incorporated directly into Anganwadi centers.

- Main Anganwadi Teacher
- Mini Anganwadi Teacher
- Anganwadi Helper
These vacancies will be distributed across various districts based on local needs.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for these positions must meet the following criteria:
- Age Limit:
- General and BC Candidates: 21 to 35 years
- SC/ST Candidates: 18 to 35 years
- Marital Status: Only married women who are local residents are eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on the following steps:
- Academic Marks: Candidates’ educational qualifications will be evaluated.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Certificate Verification: Final selection will be based on the verification of certificates.
Note: There will be no written test for these positions.
Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive the following monthly salaries:
- Main Anganwadi Teacher: ₹12,500 to ₹13,500
- Anganwadi Helper: ₹8,000
