Telangana Government’s Dussehra Holidays Announcement
The Telangana government has declared Dussehra holidays, lasting for 13 days, in connection with the Dussehra and Batukamma celebrations. During this period, schools and colleges will remain closed.
Additional Holidays for Schools and Colleges
Apart from the Dussehra holidays, the government has specified the remaining holidays for schools and colleges from October 13th to 25th. Notably, Diwali will have only one day off after Dussehra, while Christmas holidays in December have been reduced to five days, occurring from December 22 to 26.

Missionary schools will have a five-day Christmas break, whereas other schools will have a one-day holiday. Furthermore, there will be six days of holidays for the sankranti festival, combining Bogi, Sankranti, and Evidence.
Similar Holidays in Andhra Pradesh
The Andhra Pradesh government has also released details regarding festive holidays. Dussehra holidays in Andhra Pradesh will span 13 days, commencing from October 14. Schools and colleges will resume their activities from October 24th.
Additionally, the government has shortened Christmas holidays from 7 to 5 days. Sankranti holidays in Andhra Pradesh are scheduled from January 12 to 17.
