India is hosting the important G20 Summit in 2023. The summit will take place from September 7 to 10, with leaders of member states meeting on September 9 and 10.
Holiday Declared in Delhi
For security reasons, the Indian government has decided to declare a three-day holiday in the national capital, Delhi, during the G20 Summit. This affects all educational institutions and central government offices in Delhi, which will be closed from September 8 to 10.
International Participation
The G20 Summit 2023 will see participation from the leaders of 29 countries, the European Union, invited guest countries, and high-ranking officials from 14 international organizations.
India’s Hosting Preparation
To host this important event, India has revamped the Pragathi Maidan complex in Delhi, spreading over 123 acres, into one of the world’s top 10 exhibition-cum-convention centers.
