Indian Railway Recruitment Eligibility Criteria – Railway Group-D Salary Scale
Railway Group-D Educational Qualification
- Minimum prescribed Educational Qualification – 10th or Matriculation Passed or ITI Passed or equivalent.
Railway Group-D Salary Scale
- Rs.5,200 to 20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- per month as per Pay Level-1 will be given as salary to the successful selected candidates.
Railway Group-D Age Limit
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.07.2023 (Date of Birth not below 01.07.2005 and not above 01.07.1998). There is no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Railway Group-D Selection Procedure
In order to be selected, candidates have to perform well in sports trials followed by a verification of their certificates (sports & educational) by a duly constituted Recruitment Committee on this railway. In due course, the venue and date for the Trials and the Certificate Verification will be announced to the eligible candidates in due course.

The applications should be sent in a closed envelope with superscription “Application against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) Gr. ‘D’ recruitment for the year 2022-23”.
Examination Fees:
A bank draft or IPO is required as a means of payment of the examination fee as detailed below. It is important that the date of issue of the IPO/Bank Draft should not be before the date of this notification.
a) For candidates belonging to UR/OBC – Rs.500/-
b) For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons its Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes – Rs.250/-
• Bank Draft/IPO should be issued in favour of – FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach – 700043, payable at GPO/Kolkata.
• Rs.400/- to UR/OBC and Rs.250/- to SC/ST/ Ex. Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes will be refunded to those eligible candidates who will actually appear in the selection/trial.
