Online Application for Duplicate PAN Card

Steps:

  1. Visit the TIN-NSDL Website:
    Go to the official TIN-NSDL website to initiate your duplicate PAN card application process.
  2. Select Application Type:
    Choose the “Reprint Card Existing PAN Card” option since you need a duplicate card.
  3. Fill the Form:
    Enter the required information in the form displayed. After submission, a token number will be sent to your registered email address for future reference.
  4. Choose Submission Method:
    You have three submission options:
  • Forward physical application documents by printing the acknowledgment form and sending them via registered post to NSDL PAN Services Unit.
  • Opt for the paperless e-KYC, e-Sign method using Aadhaar authentication and digital signature.
  • Submit scanned images of your documents through e-sign, along with Aadhaar verification.

    Decide whether you want a physical PAN card or an e-PAN card. Provide a valid email address if you opt for the electronic version. Proceed to make the payment after selecting your submission mode.
  2. Check Application Status:
    Keep the receipt containing a 15-digit code received after payment. This receipt allows you to check the status of your application.
  3. Receive Duplicate PAN Card:
    Expect your duplicate PAN card to arrive within 2 weeks after the department receives your application.

Offline Application for Duplicate PAN Card

Steps:

  1. Download the Form:
    Download and print the “Request for New PAN Card / Changes or Correction in PAN Data” form.
  2. Complete the Form:
    Fill the form using block letters and black ink. Mention your 10-digit PAN for reference.
  3. Attach Photographs:
    Attach two passport-size photographs, cross-signing them carefully. Ensure your face is visible in the photographs.
  4. Provide Required Documents:
    Fill all necessary details, sign relevant boxes, and attach Identity Proof, Address Proof, and PAN Proof documents.
  5. Send Application to NSDL Facilitation Center:
    Send your application along with payment to the nearest NSDL Facilitation Center. Upon payment, you will receive a receipt with a 15-digit number.
  6. Receive Duplicate PAN Card:
    Your duplicate PAN card will be processed and delivered within 2 weeks after the department receives your offline application.
