Cancellation Decision Pending
There’s a buzz on BRS social media about a potential cancellation of all existing ration cards in Telangana. The state government will make a decision in two days, creating anticipation among the 2.8 crore existing ration cardholders.
New Ration Card Issuance
Starting from the 28th of this month, the state will kick off the process of issuing new ration cards. The selection of beneficiaries will be done through village councils, divisions, and ward houses.
Eligibility Criteria
However, it appears that individuals with houses, flats, cars, government jobs, professions like doctors or lawyers, and those employed in certain sectors may face disqualification for a new ration card. Tax-related issues are also reported to be a factor in disqualification.
