In the world of applications for colleges, jobs, Aadhaar, and driving licenses, each one demands a unique set of documents. This often leads to a lot of hassle and stress. However, there’s good news on the horizon!
One Birth Certificate for All Applications
Starting from the first day of the upcoming month, a significant change is coming. Now, you only need one document to support all your applications, and that document is your birth certificate. It’s going to be the primary requirement for any application you submit.
New Law Takes Effect on October 1, 2023
The Central Government has officially announced that the amended Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act-2023 will become effective from October 1.
Simplified Application Process
This new law simplifies the application process for educational institutions, job applications, appointment orders, Aadhaar, driving licenses, and more. The Registrar General of India will maintain a comprehensive database of citizens’ births and deaths.
Data Collection and Maintenance
To ensure this system works smoothly, the state government appoints a chief registrar and registrars under local bodies. They regularly send birth and death details to the Registrar General of India. At the state level, a similar database is maintained.
This change is set to make life easier for everyone by reducing the need for multiple documents and simplifying the application process.
