Odisha MadhuBabu Pension Yojana 2022
The MadhuBabu Pension Yojana was launched by the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Odisha state to provide pensions to disabled, elderly people.
On January 1, 2008, Odisha’s chief minister launched the MBPY pension scheme, merging two pension schemes, the Revised Old Age Pension Rules, 1989, and Disability Pension Rules, 1985. It provides a pension to those who qualify for it. Approximately 50 lakh people benefit from this scheme.

Aadhaar Link with MadhuBabu Pension Yojana
People who already get the scheme’s benefits should know that they will have to link their Aadhaar cards with the social welfare link account. To take advantage of the scheme further, all applicants must link their Aadhaar with a social welfare account before March 15, 2020. To link your Aadhaar card, you must submit a photocopy of it when you visit a Gram Panchayat or Municipal office to receive a pension.

Providing financial assistance under the Madhu Babu Pension Scheme in Odisha
As a beneficiary of the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana, you will receive the following benefits:
- A monthly benefit of Rs. 500 to all beneficiaries between the ages of 60 and 79.
- A monthly benefit of Rs. 700 to all beneficiaries 80 years or older.

MadhuBabu Pension Yojana Online Apply 2022
The application process can be completed online or offline. In order to apply in offline mode, you will need to visit the Office of the Block Development Officer or the Executive Officer of the Municipality/NAC. For online applications, you will need to follow these steps:
- Please visit the official website of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
- To apply for a scheme, go to the “Apply for Scheme” option and click it.
- A new screen will appear where you must select “MadhuBabu Pension Yojana online apply” under the scheme drop-down menu.
- The madhubabu pension form will appear on the screen when you select “Proceed” or click here to open it directly.
- Then select the scheme type, enter the name, father or husband’s name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, Aadhar number, district, subdivision, and address.
- Additionally, you need to upload a recent passport sized photo, thumb impression or signature, and Aadhar card scan copy.
- Please read the declaration carefully and check the box
- Once you have reviewed the details, click the “submit” button.

Step 1: Visit the official Website of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department of the Government of Odisha, https://ssepd.gov.in.
Step 2: Go to the “Scheme / Services” link under the “Beneficiary Services” section of the home page or select the direct link https://ssepd.gov.in:8443/swp/applyBeneficiaryApplication.htm.
Step 3: Select a scheme and click “Proceed” for the MBPY application. Go to the next step after applying for the scheme.
Step 4: Select the scheme and click on the “Track” button.

Coverage of Those Who Have Lost Family Members During COVID-19
On June 1 2021, the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr Naveen Patnaik, conducted a review meeting. During this meeting, he asked the officials to identify those women who have been widowed and children who have lost their parents to COVID-19. According to the Chief Minister, all those people must be included in a social welfare program. The objective is to create a covid window & to cover children and women under social security programs like Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. This decision will provide financial assistance to beneficiaries who have lost a family member due to CVI-19 across the state.
Madhu Babu Pension Yojana for Transgenders
On July 4 2020, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal to provide pension to the transgender community under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. Approximately 5000 members of this community will receive a monthly payment of Rs. 500 and Rs. 900. According to the SSEPD Minister, their age determines the amount of Ashok Panda Pension. The application form for the scheme can be found on the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Website.
The Madhu Babu Pension Yojana: Some Important Points
- Beneficiaries will be selected fairly.
- There will be widespread publicity about the scheme to announce the beneficiaries.
- Collectors must hold at least one selection camp per month.
- A sufficient number of forms should be available at the campus with extension officers of gram panchayats and the relevant executive.
