The Chief Minister’s initiative, Janata Darshan, aimed to save people from frequent office visits for minor issues, has been a hit in 29 out of 31 districts.
Impressive Participation
By 6 pm on Monday, over 6,700 individuals submitted written complaints, with 21 issues resolved on the spot. Notably, 2,100 complaints were related to the Revenue Department, with Haveri district leading with over 700 applications. Cases with resolved complaints and compensation aren’t included in these numbers.
Government’s Commitment
The state government, now in its fourth month, emphasizes swift problem-solving. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are driving this commitment. Janata Darshan is now a monthly event, with local officials instructed to provide immediate relief based on public complaints.
Efficient Service Delivery
Government schemes must reach the people seamlessly, with a focus on creating awareness during Janata Darshan. District residents should benefit from various government services, and staggered audits of the Revenue Department are planned for better efficiency.
