Hyderabad Traffic Alert: Traffic restrictions in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Vehicles will be diverted on those routes

Traffic Restrictions for Hyderabad Independence Day Celebration

On August 15, Independence Day celebrations in Hyderabad will bring about traffic restrictions from 7 am to 12 noon. These restrictions are in place to honor the occasion and the events taking place at Ranimahal Lawn in Golconda.

Road Closure for Golconda Fort Event

The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued traffic restrictions for this event, specifically due to Chief Minister KCR’s flag-hoisting ceremony at Golconda Fort. This will lead to the closure of the road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort, allowing only certain car pass holders to enter.

Access Routes for Different Car Pass Holders

  • A (Gold), A (Pink), and B (Blue) car pass holders are permitted entry. Those coming from Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, and Mehdipatnam are advised to use Retibowli and Nanalnagar junctions. They can then turn left at Balika Bhavan and follow the route towards Langar House Flyover, Tipu Khan Bridge, Ramdevguda Junction, Makai Darwaza, and Golconda Fort Gate.
  • Guests with D (Red) car passes should approach via Banjara Darwaja towards Shakepet Nala, Tollichowki, and Seven Tombs. They can alight at Priyadarshini School in Golconda and park there.
  • For those with ‘E’ car passes, an entrance is available under the Langar House flyover. After taking a U-turn, they should head left towards Fateh Darwaza and park at Huda Park near Fateh Darwaza, General. People from Shakepet and Tolichowki can park vehicles inside the Seven Tombs area.

Travel Options for the Public

Common citizens can opt for free RTC buses to travel to the event and return. This provides an accessible way for people to reach the venue without any hassle.
