Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 Expansion Plan
Introduction:
Officials have meticulously crafted a route map for the expansion of Hyderabad Metro Phase 2, focusing on enhancing connectivity and accessibility. The proposed plan includes the development of a new metro route spanning 70 km.
Route Extension:
The route extension involves stretching from JBS to MGBS via Me 2 Duga Chandraya Gutta Cross Road, promising improved connectivity across the city. Four new corridors are set to be established, with comprehensive details to be presented to CM Revant Reddy.
Corridor Details:
Corridor 2: MGBS Metro Station to Falaknuma
Spanning 5.5 km, this corridor aims to facilitate seamless travel from MGBS Metro Station to Falaknuma.
Corridor 3: Chandrayanagutta Cross Road to Phalakunuma
Covering 1.5 km, this corridor establishes a crucial link between Chandrayanagutta Cross Road and Phalakunuma.
Corridor 4: Nagol Metro Station to Shamshabad Airport
This extensive 29 km corridor connects Nagol Metro Station to LB Nagar Metro Station, Chandrayanagutta Cross Road, Mylardevpally, and the P7 Road leading to Shamshabad Airport. Additionally, there’s a proposed 4 km extension to the High Court at Rajendra Nagar via Aramgarh from Mylardevpally.
Corridor 5: Rayadurga Metro Station to American Consulate
Stretching over 8 km, this corridor traverses Biodiversity Junction, Nanakramguda Junction, Wipro Junction, and concludes at the American Consulate in the Financial District.
Corridor 6: Miyapur Metro Station to Patancheru
Encompassing 14 km, this corridor connects BHEL from Miyapur Metro Station to Patancheru, fostering improved connectivity in the region.
Corridor 7: LB Nagar Metro Station to Hayat Nagar
This 8 km corridor establishes a link between Vanasthalipuram and Hayat Nagar, enhancing accessibility from LB Nagar Metro Station.
