Telangana’s Congress Government and Welfare Schemes
With the Congress party taking charge in Telangana, attention turned towards promised welfare schemes. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy pledged to implement six guarantees, emphasizing them even before assuming office.
Focused Initiatives for Public Welfare
CM Revanth Reddy, in his pre-Chief Minister role, concentrated on welfare initiatives, including increasing Arogya Shri limits and free bus travel for women. Now, the government is actively working on providing gas cylinders to 500 households, showcasing a commitment to schemes benefiting a larger population within budget constraints.
Priority on Budget-Friendly Schemes
The Revanth Reddy government prioritizes schemes with widespread impact on a modest budget. Plans to provide 500 gas cylinders are in motion, with two additional schemes expected to be announced on the Congress party’s birthday (December 28).
Clarification from LPG Dealers Association
Amidst speculations about a single gas cylinder per 500 households, the Greater Hyderabad LPG Dealers Association President, Ashok Kumar, clarified that they haven’t received government orders on this matter. He emphasized that no rules or regulations have been formulated for the gas subsidy scheme in Telangana, dispelling rumors about updating KYC for the Rs 500 gas cylinder.
E-KYC and Subsidy Clarification
Gas dealers assert that customers receiving central government subsidies on LPG cylinders must complete e-KYC by December 31. While there were concerns that failing to complete E-KYC might affect the Rs. 500 gas cylinder subsidy, recent clarifications provide assurance that such rumors lack credibility.
