Fulfilling the Dream of Homeownership for the Poor
CM KCR, the leader of BRS party, made a promise to make the dream of owning a home a reality for the poor in the city. In the recent election manifesto, he announced plans to build one lakh double bedroom houses for the needy in Greater Hyderabad. Despite challenges like the Election Code, CM KCR assured the public that the housing scheme would continue, demonstrating his commitment to this cause.
Progress in Housing Distribution
The government, under CM KCR’s leadership, has already provided 69,000 free houses to those in need. These houses were distributed in phases, ensuring that deserving individuals received assistance.
The construction of these homes took place both within and outside the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) areas. Despite some delays due to election-related regulations, the government has shown dedication to completing these housing projects.
Ensuring Dignity and Comfort
The housing initiative not only focuses on quantity but also quality. CM KCR emphasized providing houses that enable residents to live with dignity. These homes come equipped with modern amenities, elevating the living standards of the beneficiaries.
In certain slum areas, old houses were replaced with new ones, providing a fresh start for the residents. The goal is to create a sense of self-esteem and pride among the recipients, making this scheme unique and impactful in the country.
Continued Commitment and Gratitude
CM KCR’s dedication to the cause is evident in his promise to continue the housing scheme even after the elections. He assured the public that the construction of double bedroom houses will persist, with an additional one lakh houses planned for distribution.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and happiness for receiving this support, promising to remember CM KCR’s efforts throughout their lives.
