Implementing the Second Phase of Dalit Bandhu
The state government is getting ready to start the second phase of the Dalit Bandhu program. Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mahmood Ali have requested officials to collect applications for financial aid through Dalit Bandhu within the upcoming week.
Reviewing Phase Two Plans
Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mahmood Ali held a meeting to discuss the second phase of the Dalit Bandhu initiative. The meeting took place on a Tuesday in their chamber at the Dr. BR Ambedkar State Secretariat. During this meeting, they provided feedback and suggestions for the program’s continuation.
Transparent Beneficiary Selection
It was proposed that, for every constituency, 1100 beneficiaries should be chosen in a transparent manner. The goal is to ensure fairness in the selection process. Additionally, there is a recommendation to prioritize the units that were distributed during the first phase of the program.
Discussion with Key Stakeholders
Ministers, along with MLAs, MLCs, and officials, engaged in a detailed conversation about the second phase of the Dalit Bandhu program and its beneficiaries. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav highlighted that Chief Minister KCR has introduced an excellent scheme for uplifting economically disadvantaged Dalit communities. He emphasized that no other scheme like this exists anywhere in the country. Under this scheme, each eligible family will receive financial assistance of ten lakh rupees.
In the initial phase, 100 beneficiaries were carefully selected and given the units they desired. In the upcoming second phase, 1100 beneficiaries will be chosen for each constituency, and financial support will be provided. Officials were instructed to thoroughly review the received applications for Dalit Bandhu within two to three days, ensuring adherence to government eligibility rules.
Raising Beneficiary Awareness
A crucial suggestion emerged to educate the selected Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries about the available unit choices. This approach will help them make informed decisions based on their needs. Beneficiaries are encouraged to share reports in the form of videos and photos showcasing the benefits they’ve gained from the program.
Preventing Removal of Scheme Stickers
During the meeting, some MLAs informed the ministers about the removal of Dalit Bandhu scheme stickers from vehicles. In response, Minister Talasani promptly issued orders to prevent the removal of these stickers.
Participating Members
MLCs Surabhi Vanidevi and Rahmat Baig, along with several other MLAs, actively took part in the meeting.
