The government of Telangana has planned to launch the CM Breakfast Scheme in government schools, starting from the 6th of this month. This initiative aims to provide nutritious breakfast to students, ensuring they start their day with a healthy meal.
Phase 1: Trial in One School
Initially, the scheme will be tested and evaluated in one school of the district, given that October 13 marks the Dussehra holidays. This trial period will allow the authorities to make necessary corrections and improvements before expanding the program.
Expansion to All Schools: October 26th
Once the trial phase is completed, and schools reopen on October 26, the government intends to rectify any deficiencies identified during the trial. After the necessary adjustments, the scheme will be extended to all government schools in the region.
Implementation Details
CM KCR is expected to inaugurate this scheme in Ranga Reddy District’s Maheshwaram area. The initiative will cover a significant number of schools, including 642 aided schools, 194 model schools, and 100 madrasas across the state of Telangana.
Benefits for Students
More than 1.50 lakh students will benefit from this scheme, which not only focuses on providing quality education but also addresses the students’ nutritional needs. By offering a nutritious breakfast, the government aims to enhance students’ concentration on their studies and alleviate the concerns of working parents, ensuring their children have access to a healthy meal in the morning.
