Big Update: Changes to Chandrayaan-3 Landing Viewing Plan in Schools

Initial Decision Reversed

The school education department had initially decided on Monday that all schools in the state should show the live broadcast of the Vikram lander’s landing near Chandrayaan-3’s south pole. However, they changed their minds and canceled this decision on Tuesday night.

New Viewing Time and Instructions

The District Education Officers (DEOs) were given instructions for a new viewing time. On Wednesday evening, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, students could watch the live broadcast using different platforms like T-chat education, expert channels, and Sridev Sen. It’s important to note that regular classes start at 4:30 pm.

Transportation Challenge for Students

For students residing in nearby villages, there was a problem with transportation. If they wanted to stay in school until 6:30 pm for the live broadcast, it would be difficult for them to find a way back home.

Revised Decision

Considering the transportation challenge, the education department made changes to their previous decision made on Tuesday night. They clarified that students didn’t have to stay in school until 6:30 pm to watch the broadcast. If needed, schools could show the landing of Chandrayaan through YouTube on Thursday afternoon instead.
