Accidental Policy and Medical Care Assurance

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has pledged to introduce a comprehensive accidental policy worth Rs.5 lakh for cab drivers, food delivery personnel, and auto drivers. Additionally, these workers will be entitled to free medical care up to Rs.10 lakh through the Rajiv Arogyashri scheme.

Immediate Aid in Tragic Incidents

In a tragic incident four months ago, a Swiggy delivery boy lost his life after falling from a building while being chased by a dog. The Chief Minister promptly directed officials to provide Rs.2 lakh to the bereaved family. Such compassionate responses underscore the government’s commitment to the welfare of gig workers.

Tech Innovation for Cab Drivers

CM Revanth Reddy has promised to facilitate an app, accessible through T Hub, specifically designed for cab drivers, akin to the platform used by Ola. This initiative aims to streamline services and improve the overall experience for drivers in the transportation sector.

Addressing Worker Concerns

During a meeting at Nampally Exhibition Grounds, the Chief Minister engaged with cab drivers, food delivery personnel, and auto drivers to understand their challenges. He assured them that their concerns and suggestions would be taken into consideration, emphasizing the government’s responsibility in providing social protection.

Laws Inspired by Rajasthan Model

Highlighting the commitment to social security, CM Revanth Reddy mentioned plans to study the laws implemented in Rajasthan and proposed the introduction of effective legislation in the upcoming budget sessions to address the needs of unorganized workers.

Expressing a stance against profit-centric approaches, the Chief Minister emphasized that organizations should prioritize the welfare of workers. He warned of potential actions against large corporations failing to adhere to equitable policies.

Responsive Governance through Gram Sabhas

Public governance gram sabhas will be conducted regularly, providing cab drivers, food delivery personnel, and auto drivers with an opportunity to share their concerns and submit applications. CM Revanth Reddy affirmed that all applications received during these sessions will be promptly addressed, ensuring responsive governance.

Leadership Presence

Notable figures such as Industry Minister Sridhar Babu, AICC Secretaries Rohit Chaudhary, Mansoor Ali Khan, Madhuyashki, and TPCC Working President Mahesh Kumar Goud participated in these initiatives, showcasing broad support for the welfare programs.
