How it Works:
– Initially, women can travel for free in RTC buses without any card for a week.

Mahalakshmi Scheme Details:

– CM Revanth Reddy will officially launch the scheme after the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected MLAs.
– Free travel applies to women, girls, and transgenders in RTC buses without the need for identity cards during the first week.
RTC Bus Travel Conditions:
– The free travel scheme applies to ordinary and express buses, excluding services like Garuda and Sleeper.
– No identity cards are required during the first week for women of all ages.
District-Wide Eligibility:
– The government will compensate RTC for the incurred losses due to free travel for women.
– The opportunity is open to women in every district, mandal, center, and rural area of the state.
Government Resolution:
– Cabinet meeting passed a resolution ensuring strict implementation of the six guarantees, with detailed discussions on each guarantee.
