TSRTC Ensures Safe Journeys
TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) is all set to safely transport passengers to their destinations for the Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals. Between the 13th and 24th of this month, 5,265 special buses have been deployed for this purpose.
Coordination Meeting for Smooth Operations
TSRTC has taken measures to ensure passengers face no difficulties during their travels. A coordination meeting, chaired by TSRTC MD VC Sajjan, was held with police and transport department officials at Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Police and Transport Departments’ Support
TSRTC MD Sajjanar highlighted the crucial support from police and transport departments. He emphasized their joint efforts to facilitate safe transportation for passengers. Sajjanar acknowledged the essential role these departments play in TSRTC’s success and urged their continued cooperation for this year’s Dussehra.
Special Arrangements and Advance Reservations
To accommodate the expected heavy traffic between the 20th and 23rd of this month, additional special buses will be deployed. Advance reservation facilities for 536 services have been provided. These special buses operate not only within Telangana but also connect Hyderabad and Secunderabad to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. This year, approximately 1000 more buses are in service compared to the previous year.
Focus Areas and Special Facilities
Busy areas in Hyderabad, such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal Cross Roads, LB Nagar, and others, will have special camps set up. These camps will provide necessary facilities to travelers. Monitoring officers will oversee these areas and arrange special buses based on passenger traffic. Special volunteers are also appointed to assist passengers with information.
