Vishwakarma Yojana: A New Scheme to Help Backward Castes
On Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi talked to the nation from the Red Fort. He told everyone about a new plan for the country.
The plan is called “Vishwakarma Yojana.” It’s meant to help people from the Backward Castes (OBC). These are folks who work in jobs like barbers, tanners, and blacksmiths. The government is setting aside Rs. 13,000-15,000 crores to help them out. The plan starts next month on Vishwakarma Jayanti. The goal is to help these workers, who have traditional skills, do better in their lives and help the country’s economy grow.
India’s Growing Economy: A Message from Prime Minister Modi
In his talk on Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi shared that he believes India will be one of the world’s top economies in the next five years. When his party, the BJP, took over in 2014, India was the 10th biggest economy. But thanks to the hard work of 1.4 billion Indians, the country has moved up to the 5th position. He gave credit to the people for making this happen.
He also said that by stopping corruption and fixing problems, the economy has become strong.
