No Deadline for Gruha Lakshmi Affordable Housing Scheme Application in Telangana
The Telangana government has clarified that people can apply for the Gruha Lakshmi affordable housing scheme anytime, and there’s no last date.

The government’s clarification follows worries from the opposition parties that people might miss the deadline due to difficulties in getting necessary documents.
Support for the Needy
The Gruha Lakshmi scheme, started by the BRS government, aims to help poor individuals with land who can’t afford to build a house. To be eligible, applicants must have valid food security and not own a house. The government will approve the housing unit in the name of a widow or widower from the family. Once the requirements are met, applicants with their own land can get Rs 3 lakh to build a house.
No Rush, No Deadline
Telangana’s housing minister, Vemula Prashant Reddy, assured that the Gruha Lakshmi scheme has no set deadline. He warned against believing incomplete information from some parts of society.
How to Apply
Eligible people can apply at specific Gruha Lakshmi counters in collectorate offices. The government is building 3,000 houses in each constituency in Phase-I. Once this is done, applicants can apply for Phase-II.
Remember, the Gruha Lakshmi scheme is always open for eligible applicants. There’s no need to hurry.
