The KCR government in Telangana has brought cheerful news for the state’s minority groups. Finance Minister Harish Rao has given instructions to officials to ensure that a financial aid program of one lakh rupees, announced by CM KCR for the benefit of minorities, is put into action.
Distribution of Financial Aid Begins in August
The initial phase of the plan involves distributing checks worth lakhs of rupees to ten thousand selected beneficiaries. The distribution process is set to commence on August 16th, aiming to provide timely assistance to those in need.
Meeting Discusses Minority Concerns
To address the issues faced by minorities, a meeting was held at the Secretariat under the leadership of Finance Minister Harish Rao. Notable attendees included Mahmood Ali, Koppula Ishwar, Gangula Kamalakar, and other officials. The discussions encompassed topics like financial aid, overseas scholarships, graveyards, and more.

Minister Harish Rao emphasized that the selection process for beneficiaries should continue, focusing on areas with higher minority populations. Additionally, he directed officials to allocate substantial funds, a total of 400 crores, for the successful implementation of this program. The government’s efforts to fulfill promises, such as providing land for graveyards and increasing imams’ honorarium, were also highlighted.
