Traditionally, the second Saturday of November (11th) is a day off for schools, colleges, and offices. Additionally, as 12th November falls on a Sunday, it is also a designated holiday. With the government’s decision to grant Diwali holiday on 13th November, educational institutions and offices will remain closed for three consecutive days.
Possible Holiday Extension in Telangana
There is a chance that the government and private schools and colleges in Telangana might also observe a holiday on 13th November. However, the Telangana government has not confirmed this yet. If the holiday is approved, Telangana, too, will enjoy a three-day break.

According to Vedic scholars, Diwali falls on 12th November this year. Despite this, the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to extend the holiday to 13th November has brought joy to employees and school students alike.
